If an employee needs copies of all payslips, for a mortgage application, or similar, and has lost access to previous emails, there is no way for the payroll administrator to EASILY send a copy of ALL payslips to an employee, nor is there a detailed payroll/payslip summary report for an employee.
The only way of doing this is to go into EACH payrun, print a PDF for each payslip, save them, and then attach them all to one (or more) emails.
We had to do this last night for an employee, and it took over an hour.
People do lose access to old email accounts, and thus access to old payslips, or delete emails, thnking that they do not need them anymore, and need to free up space.
Furthermore, if the Pay document preferences are set to EMAIL, then payslips are not copied to the HR system for later download.
